David Perez-Teofani/Mexico/Aggravated Sexual Battery of a Child
Homeland Security Investigations special agents, working with Washington, D.C.’s Metropolitan Police Department, arrested 35-year-old Mexican national and illegal alien David Perez‑Teofani near the National Mall on August 20 after learning he had been charged in Virginia with serious child sex offenses.
Perez‑Teofani is accused in Fairfax County of felony indecent liberties involving proposed sex acts and aggravated sexual battery of a victim younger than 13 years old, making him a high‑priority public safety threat.
Perez‑Teofani first entered the United States illegally at an unknown time and place and was ordered removed in September 2014 before being deported to Mexico that November. He then attempted to reenter as an impostor using a U.S. passport at San Ysidro on November 16, 2014, was caught, and removed again on November 23, 2014, but later slipped back into the country.
Fairfax County authorities arrested him in January 2024, yet the local jail declined an ICE detainer and released him; federal officers have now taken custody and plan to remove him from the United States despite the local prosecutor’s refusal to pursue the child sex charges.
