Dublas Perez Salazar/Guatemala/Statutory Rape
On May 12, 2025, ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) New York arrested Dublas Perez Salazar, a Guatemalan national unlawfully present in the United States. Perez Salazar was taken into custody in New York following multiple criminal charges and a prior conviction. He is currently being held in ICE detention pending removal proceedings.
Perez Salazar had previously been charged with statutory rape in 2022. The charge stemmed from an incident involving a minor and resulted in an ongoing legal case in a New York jurisdiction. Though the charge did not lead to a conviction at the time of arrest, it contributed to his identification as a priority for immigration enforcement. In addition to the pending charge, Perez Salazar was convicted of driving under the influence on May 16, 2022. That conviction followed a traffic stop in which he was found to be operating a vehicle with a blood alcohol content over the legal limit.
Following his DUI conviction, ICE became aware of his unlawful status and monitored his case as the statutory rape charge proceeded. In May 2025, ERO officers located and arrested him in a targeted operation. He was identified through fingerprint and database verification and transported to a secure ICE facility in New York.
Perez Salazar will remain in federal custody as his case proceeds before an immigration judge. He does not currently have any form of lawful status or pending immigration relief.
