Eder Juarez

Eder Juarez/Guatemala/Homicide

by G. George | June 20, 2025

Eder Juarez, a 38-year-old illegal alien and citizen of Guatemala, was removed from the United States by Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) New Orleans following his conviction for serious violent crimes. Juarez’s criminal history includes a conviction for homicide as well as a weapons-related offense, both of which were adjudicated in a U.S. criminal court. His conviction for homicide stemmed from a fatal incident involving a firearm, during which he was also charged with unlawful possession and use of a weapon.

Juarez entered the United States illegally on an unknown date and was apprehended after local authorities arrested him in connection with the deadly incident. Following the completion of his criminal sentence, Juarez was transferred into ICE custody, where officials reviewed his immigration status and finalized removal proceedings.

Because of the nature of his violent criminal history, Juarez was prioritized for deportation. ERO officers conducted the removal via coordinated air transport and transferred him to Guatemalan authorities upon arrival. His deportation was carried out in accordance with a final order of removal previously issued by a federal immigration judge.

Juarez is no longer present in the United States and is currently in the custody of Guatemalan law enforcement. His removal marks the conclusion of a case involving a foreign national convicted of one of the most severe crimes prosecuted under U.S. law.
