Edgar Felipe-Mendez/Guatemala/Drug Trafficking

Guatemalan national Edgar David Felipe-Mendez was arrested in Red Wing, Minnesota, following federal immigration enforcement that highlighted his prior narcotics conviction in Goodhue County District Court. Authorities identified him as an unlawfully present criminal illegal alien with a history tied to conspiracy to sell heroin, methamphetamine, and fentanyl in the Red Wing area. The earlier case involved a conviction for conspiracy to sell the three drugs, underscoring his alleged role in a broader trafficking operation supplying hard narcotics into the local community.

Felipe-Mendez’s latest arrest in Red Wing came after that conviction, placing him back in custody and into federal immigration proceedings because of his drug trafficking record. Officials noted that his case fit a pattern of repeat criminal offenders with serious drug histories who remain subject to removal from the United States after serving local sentences.
