Edgar Julca-Tangoa/Peru/Sexual Assault

On January 27, 2025, ICE Newark arrested Edgar Julca-Tangoa, a citizen of Peru.

Julca-Tangoa is the subject of an INTERPOL (International Criminal Police Organization) Red Notice related to his pending criminal charges in Argentina for aggravated sexual assault and sexual abuse of multiple minors.

Similar to Julca-Tangoa, on February 25, 2025, ICE’s Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) Washington, D.C., in collaboration with the FBI, DEA, and Virginia State Police, arrested 40-year-old Salvadoran national Silvia Lorena Bonilla-De Jandres in Alexandria, Virginia.

Bonilla-De Jandres is a documented member of the MS-13 gang and is the subject of an INTERPOL Red Notice issued by El Salvadoran authorities for charges including aggravated extortion, blackmail, and terrorist affiliation.

Bonilla-De Jandres unlawfully entered the United States near Rio Grande Valley, Texas, on February 21, 2016, and was placed into removal proceedings. On July 11, 2024, a Department of Justice immigration judge ordered her removal to El Salvador.

Despite the removal order, she remained in the U.S. Law enforcement authorities in El Salvador had issued a warrant for her arrest on August 28, 2017, and INTERPOL subsequently issued a Red Notice on November 24, 2017.

Following her arrest in February 2025, Bonilla-De Jandres was taken into ICE custody and is currently detained pending removal proceedings.
