On February 17, 2025, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement New Orleans arrested Edilson Luis-Ramos (pictured), a citizen of Mexico. Luis-Ramos has been convicted of rape and sentenced to 39 months in prison.

On February 11, 2025, ICE San Diego arrested Freddy Mogollan, a 41-year-old Mexican citizen and convicted sex offender. Mogollan was apprehended for multiple offenses, including possession of child pornography and invasion of privacy using a concealed camera. He had a history of sexual misconduct and was residing illegally in the United States.

ICE’s Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) conducted the arrest as part of their ongoing efforts to detain noncitizens convicted of serious sexual offenses.

Mogollan’s case underscores ICE’s commitment to public safety by targeting individuals with significant criminal backgrounds.
