Edner Danilo Ojeda-Mantilla/Columbia/Disorderly Conduct
Edner Danilo Ojeda-Mantilla, a 22-year-old citizen of Colombia, was arrested by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers following his release from the Ada County Jail in Idaho. Ojeda-Mantilla is unlawfully present in the United States and was taken into ICE custody after serving a sentence stemming from a conviction for disorderly conduct.
According to enforcement records, Ojeda-Mantilla had come to the attention of authorities due to his criminal activity and lack of lawful immigration status. Following the completion of his local jail sentence, ICE officers took custody of Ojeda-Mantilla to initiate removal proceedings. His case was referred to immigration enforcement officials under the agency’s enforcement priorities, which include removable noncitizens who have criminal records and pose a threat to public order.
Ojeda-Mantilla had no legal right to remain in the United States and has no known legal immigration relief available. Because of this, he will not be released back into the community and will remain in ICE custody throughout the pendency of his case.
ICE confirmed that his case is being reviewed in preparation for further hearings with an immigration judge. Ojeda-Mantilla’s detention and removal are being carried out in accordance with federal immigration enforcement protocols for individuals with criminal convictions and no lawful immigration status.
