Eduardo Castron/Honduras/Sex Offense Against Child
Honduran national Eduardo Castron was arrested in Grand Rapids, Michigan, on a sex offense against a child – fondling charge after a minor reported inappropriate sexual touching and identified him as the offender.
Castron is a registered sex offender in Michigan, having been convicted on two counts of 2nd degree criminal sexual conduct in Kent County in 2024.
Michigan sex-crime guidance explains that child fondling cases are typically charged as criminal sexual conduct involving sexual contact with a minor’s intimate parts for a sexual purpose. Detectives in Grand Rapids interviewed the child, documented the allegations, and gathered corroborating details before taking Castron into custody on the child-focused sex offense.
Following his arrest in Grand Rapids, Castron was booked into local jail pending arraignment on the sex offense against a child count. If convicted, he faces the possibility of a lengthy jail or prison sentence, mandatory sex offender registration under Michigan law, and immigration consequences due to his Honduran citizenship and the seriousness of the child fondling allegation.
