ICE New Orleans has deported Eduardo Enrique Paez Dabul, a citizen of Colombia, following his conviction for a sex offense involving a child. Paez Dabul, who entered the U.S. illegally, was found guilty of child fondling and sentenced to 23 months in jail by U.S. authorities. After serving his sentence, he was transferred to the custody of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement for deportation proceedings.

The conviction stems from an incident involving inappropriate physical contact with a minor, a serious offense that led ICE officials to initiate removal actions against him. Paez Dabul had no legal status in the United States at the time of his arrest or conviction.

Following the completion of his criminal sentence, ICE officers coordinated his removal and deported him to Colombia. Officials confirmed that he was flown out of the country and handed over to Colombian authorities upon arrival.

Paez Dabul is no longer present in the United States and is barred from reentry due to the severity of his conviction and immigration violations. His deportation represents the conclusion of his case in both the criminal and immigration systems.
