ICE officers arrested 27-year-old Ecuadorian national Edwin Andres Calva-Guaman in Danbury, Connecticut, during a targeted operation focused on dangerous criminal aliens.

Calva-Guaman is in the country illegally and has a criminal history that includes a conviction for larceny, along with prior arrests for domestic violence, third-degree assault, and second-degree breach of peace.

He was taken into ICE custody outside the Danbury Superior Courthouse, where he had appeared in connection with multiple pending misdemeanor and felony cases, including violations of a protective order.

Officials have identified him as one of the higher-risk offenders arrested in Connecticut’s recent four-day enforcement surge and have stated that his pattern of property crime and alleged domestic violence makes him a priority for removal from the United States.
