Edwin Robles-Gomez/Honduras/DUI x2, Assault

by G. George | August 24, 2025

ICE San Antonio arrested and deported Edwin Robles-Gomez, a thirty seven year old citizen of Honduras who was unlawfully present in the United States. Court records reflect two convictions for driving under the influence and a separate conviction for assault. He was taken into custody without incident, processed for immigration detention, and repatriated to his home country under a final order of removal.

Driving under the influence is charged when a person operates a motor vehicle while impaired by alcohol or drugs. Prosecutors typically substantiate the offense with standardized field sobriety tests, chemical analysis results, officer observations, and dash or body camera recordings. Two convictions indicate repeated impaired driving despite prior sanctions such as license restrictions, treatment requirements, fines, or jail time.

The assault conviction documents unlawful physical force used against another person. Proof in assault cases commonly includes victim statements, medical documentation, photographs of injuries, and witness accounts. Sentencing often imposes custody, probation, and no contact or stay away orders intended to prevent further harm.

Following the criminal matters, immigration officers completed biometric identity verification, obtained certified judgment and sentencing records, and coordinated travel documentation with the Government of Honduras. Robles-Gomez was placed on a repatriation itinerary consistent with transport protocols and transferred to Honduran authorities upon arrival. The immigration case associated with his convictions is now closed as to United States custody.
