On Feb. 18, 2025, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Newark arrested Eloy Lucas Lopez, a citizen of Mexico. Lucas has been convicted of possession of a controlled dangerous substance on school property and sentenced to three years probation.

On Feb. 17, 2025, ICE San Diego arrested an illegal Mexican national charged with driving under the influence. Rogelio Venegas Martinez, 40, a citizen of Mexico in Vista, Calif., on charges related to driving under the influence.

The San Diego County Sheriff’s Office charged Venegas on Jan. 26 with one count of driving under the influence of alcohol and one count of driving under the influence of drugs. ICE issued a notice to appear following his arrest, and Venegas will remain in ICE custody pending removal proceedings.
