Officers with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in Baltimore arrested Enrique Aparicio-Martinez, an illegal alien from Mexico, on December 2. The arrest was part of an ongoing effort to remove dangerous offenders from Maryland communities. Aparicio-Martinez has a criminal history that includes convictions for an aggravated felony sex offense and driving under the influence (DUI).

An ICE spokesman highlighted the importance of the operation, stating that the agency “takes another dangerous offender off Maryland’s streets.” Officials emphasized that individuals with convictions for violent sexual crimes and impaired driving represent a significant threat to public safety.

Aparicio-Martinez has been issued a final order of removal and will remain in federal custody until his deportation is carried out. The agency continues to focus resources on locating and arresting noncitizens who have violated U.S. laws to ensure they are returned to their countries of origin.
