Erick Martinez Mondragon/Mexico/Robbery, Weapon Offense

Mexican national Erick Martinez Mondragon, a documented 18th Street gang member, was arrested in Bayport, Minnesota, on April 24, 2025, immediately after his release from the Minnesota Correctional Facility–Stillwater. Federal authorities described him as a criminal illegal alien who had served a state prison term for a robbery involving a residence and a firearm, along with a related weapon offense. Records list him under DOC inmate number 265996, with his Stillwater–Bayport release date matching the timing of the federal enforcement action.

ICE officers took Martinez Mondragon into custody on the same day he left state prison, treating the transfer to federal control as part of a broader operation targeting gang-affiliated offenders with violent and weapons-related histories. He remains subject to federal immigration proceedings that could lead to removal from the United States after completion of any remaining detention.
