Ever Villafane-Martinez/Colombia/Drug Importation
On February 3, 2025, ICE Miami arrested Ever Villafane-Martinez, a citizen of Colombia.
Villafane has been convicted of conspiracy to import into the United States five kilograms or more of cocaine and sentenced him to 240 months.
In a similar case, on February 3, 2025, ICE’s Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) Miami arrested 35-year-old Colombian national Juan Carlos Ramirez during a targeted enforcement action in Miami-Dade County, Florida. Ramirez had unlawfully reentered the United States after a prior deportation and was identified as a high-priority target due to his criminal history.
According to federal records, Ramirez was previously convicted in Florida for conspiracy to distribute five kilograms or more of cocaine, resulting in a sentence of 240 months in federal prison. Despite this conviction and prior removal, Ramirez reentered the U.S. without authorization. ICE officers located him during a routine enforcement action and took him into custody without incident.
Upon arrest, Ramirez was issued an I-871 Notice of Intent/Decision to Reinstate Prior Order of Removal, citing his previous deportation and illegal reentry as violations of the Immigration and Nationality Act. He is currently detained at the Krome North Service Processing Center in Miami, Florida, pending removal proceedings. Due to the severity of his criminal conviction and repeated immigration violations, Ramirez is considered a high-priority case for enforcement and removal.
