Fazlollah Haritash/Iran/Sex Assault, Lewd or Lascivious Acts with Minor

Iranian national Fazlollah Haritash was arrested in Detroit, Michigan, on assault, computer crimes, lewd or lascivious acts with a minor, and sex assault charges following an online child-exploitation investigation. Investigators allege Haritash used computers and electronic communication platforms to contact an underage victim, then arranged in-person sexual abuse that formed the basis for the lewd conduct and sex assault counts.

Detectives executed search warrants on his electronic devices, reviewed digital communications, and developed probable cause that he used technology to facilitate the alleged offenses before taking him into custody.
