On May 16, 2025, ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) St. Paul removed Felipe Nery Casco Murillo, a Honduran national wanted in his home country for rape and the preparation of aggravated child sexual abuse material. Casco Murillo had unlawfully entered the United States in 2023 and was the subject of an international arrest warrant issued by Honduran authorities.
Casco Murillo first came to the attention of U.S. immigration officials on May 13, 2023, when he applied for admission at the Hidalgo Port of Entry in Texas. He was paroled into the country and issued a notice to appear in immigration court. On November 5, 2024, ICE received confirmation that he was wanted in Honduras for serious crimes involving minors. He was arrested by ICE on January 28, 2025.
An immigration judge issued a final order of removal on April 17, 2025. ERO officers carried out his removal on May 16, 2025, transferring him into the custody of Honduran law enforcement officials upon arrival in Tegucigalpa. ICE confirmed that there were no pending appeals or legal stays preventing the deportation.
