Felix Bustillo Diaz/Honduras/Child Sexual Assault, Human Trafficking-Related Abuse

by G. George | December 02, 2025

Felix Bustillo Diaz is a 49‑year‑old criminal illegal alien from Honduras accused of repeatedly sexually assaulting his 12‑year‑old grandniece after she was illegally smuggled into the United States by her mother in 2014 and left in his care as her sponsor. Homeland Security Investigations Houston reports that the girl later escaped with help from two Houston‑area women, who instead allegedly zip‑tied, beat, tortured, starved her, and forced her into manual labor before their own arrests in October on multiple felony counts.

Despite his unlawful presence and a prior criminal conviction, Bustillo was granted Temporary Protected Status in 2024; that protection has since been terminated. He was already detained by ICE at the Montgomery Processing Center on immigration violations when he was transferred into Harris County Sheriff’s Office custody on November 5 to face local criminal charges tied to the alleged abuse.

Officials describe the conduct uncovered in this case as among the most disturbing and egregious they have encountered, emphasizing that the child is now safe while the investigation continues.
