by G. George | February 02, 2025

On January 27, 2025, ICE Atlanta arrested Fernando Hernandez-Martinez, a citizen of Mexico.

Hernandez-Martinez was convicted of two counts of child molestation and sentenced him to five years confinement.

Similar to this case, on January 15, 2025, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers arrested 46-year-old Salvadoran national Nicolas Alberto Hernandez-Lopez in Fairfax County, Virginia.

Hernandez-Lopez had previously been convicted of second-degree sexual assault in Fairfax County on March 7, 2019, and was sentenced to prison. Following his release, ICE officers removed him to El Salvador on June 9, 2023.

Despite his prior removal, Hernandez-Lopez unlawfully reentered the United States at an unknown time and location without inspection, admission, or parole by a U.S. immigration official.

ICE officers arrested him without incident and served him with a notice to appear before a Department of Justice immigration judge for violating the provisions of the Immigration and Nationality Act. He remains in ICE custody pending the outcome of his immigration proceedings.
