Filipe Medeiros Dos Anjos/Brazil/Child Assault, Strangulation, Assault with a Motor Vehicle

On Jan. 14, ICE Boston officers arrested Filipe Medeiros Dos Anjos, a criminal alien from Brazil with a record of violent offenses tied to both child abuse and roadway assaults. According to charging records, his history includes assault and battery on a child with injuries and a separate strangulation charge, reflecting serious allegations of physical violence in close‑contact incidents.​

Authorities also list assault and battery with a motor vehicle and driving under the influence among his prior offenses, alongside entries for fugitive from justice and witness intimidation. A law enforcement spokesman said Dos Anjos has been placed in immigration custody pending proceedings that will determine whether he is removed from the United States after his criminal matters are resolved.
