by G. George | March 30, 2026

Authorities have identified Fong Vang, a criminal illegal alien from Laos and documented member of the Purple Brothers gang, as having an extensive record of narcotics and public safety offenses in Minnesota. Court and enforcement records show Vang has been convicted of two felony dangerous drug charges, driving under the influence, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of amphetamine, rioting, weapons possession and criminal damage to property.

Investigators say Vang’s repeated drug and weapons offenses, combined with his role in a known gang, have made him a continuing threat in the communities where he has lived. Officials also confirm that he currently faces a pending charge for an additional DUI, adding to a history of conduct that has repeatedly placed the public at risk.

Vang remains under the supervision of state and federal authorities as his latest case moves forward in court.
