Fredy Garcia-Canan/Guatemala/Aggravated Battery, Intentional Bodily Harm with a Deadly Weapon

On December 19, 2025, Fredy Garcia-Canan, 34, a criminal illegal alien from Guatemala, was arrested following a history of dangerous violent offenses. His criminal record includes arrests for aggravated battery, intentional bodily harm with a deadly weapon, causing bodily harm, unlawful discharge of a firearm within city limits, criminal discharge of a firearm, aggravated endangering a child, and reckless endangerment to a child.​

An immigration judge ordered Garcia-Canan removed on July 3, 2024, but he remained unlawfully in the United States and continued to reoffend despite the outstanding removal order. ICE officers took him into custody as part of a wider enforcement operation targeting violent criminal illegal aliens with prior deportation orders. Garcia-Canan is currently in ICE custody pending removal proceedings based on his extensive violent criminal history and prior immigration ruling.
