Guang Li/China/Drug Trafficking

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement arrested Guang Li, a criminal illegal alien from China, in Atlanta, Georgia, on charges of drug trafficking.

Drug trafficking is among the most severe narcotics offenses under both Georgia and federal law, involving the distribution or possession with intent to distribute controlled substances above threshold quantities. Convictions carry mandatory minimum prison sentences that increase based on the type and quantity of the drug involved. Criminal illegal aliens charged with drug trafficking are subject to both criminal prosecution and federal removal proceedings.

ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations officers apprehended Li in Atlanta. He currently remains in federal immigration custody and faces removal proceedings before a Department of Justice immigration judge, with potential deportation back to China.
