Guillermo Perez Alzate/Colombia/Murder, Drug Trafficking, Conspiracy to Import Cocaine

by G. George | August 08, 2025

Guillermo Perez Alzate, an illegal alien from Colombia, was arrested by ICE Orlando HSTF in collaboration with @HSITampa and @EROMiami. Perez Alzate is a former paramilitary leader of the United Self-Defense Forces of Colombia (AUC) in Nariño, Colombia. He is wanted for his alleged involvement in 29 murders and related crimes, making him a significant threat to public safety. These heinous crimes are linked to his leadership role in a violent and notorious paramilitary group responsible for widespread violence in Colombia.

In 2008, Perez Alzate was extradited to the U.S. for his involvement in a Colombia-based drug trafficking organization. His conviction for conspiracy to import cocaine into the U.S. led to a 210-month sentence. This conviction highlights his direct role in facilitating the illegal drug trade, contributing to the spread of addiction and violence.

An immigration judge ordered Perez Alzate’s removal in 2017, but his illegal status and criminal actions continued to make him a danger to public safety. His recent arrest ensures he will face the consequences of his crimes, both in the U.S. and potentially in Colombia.

Perez Alzate’s case underscores ICE’s commitment to addressing individuals involved in serious criminal activities, particularly those with violent pasts and connections to organized crime. He will face removal to Colombia, where he will likely encounter further legal consequences for his actions.
