ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) New Orleans arrested Hatsady Sabouathone, a citizen of Laos who is unlawfully present in the United States. The arrest took place following a targeted enforcement operation focusing on noncitizens with serious or repeated criminal histories. Sabouathone has multiple criminal convictions, including burglary, theft, and child endangerment.

According to records, Sabouathone’s conviction for burglary involved unlawful entry into a residence with the intent to commit theft, while his child endangerment charge stemmed from placing a minor in a hazardous or harmful situation. These offenses occurred across different jurisdictions and contributed to his identification by ICE as a priority for enforcement action.

In addition to his conviction history, ICE officials confirmed that Sabouathone has no legal status or authorization to remain in the United States. He was taken into custody without incident and transported to a detention facility in the region. Removal proceedings have been initiated, and he will remain in ICE custody until those proceedings conclude or an immigration judge orders otherwise.

ICE New Orleans emphasized that individuals with records involving crimes against property and offenses putting children at risk are subject to enforcement. Sabouathone’s detention reflects a broader focus on targeting criminal aliens for removal.
