ICE officers arrested 21-year-old Guatemalan national Henry Morales-Cante in Stamford, Connecticut, during a targeted operation aimed at criminal aliens with violent and weapons-related records.

Morales-Cante is in the United States illegally and has a criminal history that includes charges for assault, illegal possession of a weapon in a motor vehicle, carrying a dangerous weapon, reckless endangerment, and illegal use of a facsimile firearm. These offenses indicate both a pattern of violence and repeated involvement with weapons in public settings.

Authorities have classified Morales-Cante as a public safety risk due to the combination of assaultive conduct and weapons violations. He was identified as one of the higher-priority targets during recent enforcement activities in Connecticut focused on “worst of the worst” offenders.

Morales-Cante is currently in ICE custody pending immigration proceedings, and officials are pursuing his removal on the basis of his unlawful presence and his history of dangerous criminal behavior.
