Henrys Alexis Moreno/Venezuela/Conspiracy to Transport Aliens

by G. George | August 17, 2025

ICE New Orleans arrested Henrys Alexis Moreno, a citizen of Venezuela and an illegal alien in the United States, following his conviction for conspiracy to transport aliens.

Moreno’s case involved coordinating and facilitating the unlawful movement of individuals across U.S. borders, a federal offense that carries severe penalties due to its role in enabling illegal entry and circumventing immigration controls. Evidence from his prosecution showed that Moreno worked with others to arrange transportation, provide logistical support, and conceal the movements of those entering the country unlawfully.

This conspiracy exposed the transported individuals to dangerous conditions, often involving overcrowded vehicles, unsafe routes, and lack of basic necessities during transit. Following the completion of his sentence, ICE officers placed Moreno into immigration custody to begin removal proceedings.

His conviction qualifies as a serious criminal offense under immigration law, rendering him subject to deportation. Moreno will remain detained until the U.S. finalizes his removal to Venezuela, where he will be turned over to local authorities upon arrival.
