Herson Cruz-Cruz/Honduras/Indecent Liberties with a Child
On July 1, 2025, ICE Atlanta arrested Herson Cruz-Cruz, a 27-year-old citizen and national of Honduras, following his identification as a criminal illegal alien with multiple prior convictions and a history of removal from the United States. According to ICE records, Cruz-Cruz has three separate convictions for indecent liberties with a child, a felony-level offense involving inappropriate or unlawful sexual conduct with a minor. Crimes of this nature are classified as aggravated felonies under U.S. immigration law and result in mandatory detention and removal from the country.
Cruz-Cruz had previously been removed from the United States in 2017 and subsequently reentered the country illegally without being admitted, inspected, or paroled by immigration authorities. Illegal reentry after deportation is a federal offense punishable by imprisonment, particularly when committed by individuals with serious criminal histories. His repeat violations, including the nature of his convictions involving child victims, significantly elevate the urgency of his case under current immigration enforcement priorities.
Indecent liberties with a child is a serious sexual offense that reflects predatory behavior and often results in permanent inadmissibility and prohibition from immigration benefits. ICE has not disclosed whether his reentry was recent or how long he had remained unlawfully present in the U.S. following his prior removal.
Cruz-Cruz was taken into ICE custody following his latest arrest and remains detained pending removal proceedings. An immigration judge is expected to finalize his deportation based on his aggravated felony record and his unlawful reentry into the United States.
