On January 28, 2025, ICE Atlanta arrested Hyun Woo Im, a citizen of South Korea.

Im has been convicted of nine counts of possession or control of any material depicting minor of sexually explicit conduct. Im was sentenced to five years in jail and 20 years’ probation.

On the same day, ICE’s Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) Atlanta arrested 42-year-old South Korean national Min-Jae Park during a targeted enforcement action in Georgia. Park had unlawfully reentered the United States after a prior deportation and was identified as a high-priority target due to his criminal history.

According to federal records, Park was previously convicted in Fulton County for nine counts of possession or control of material depicting minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct. These convictions resulted in a sentence of five years in prison followed by 20 years of probation. Despite this conviction and prior removal, Park reentered the U.S. without authorization. ICE officers located him during a routine enforcement action and took him into custody without incident.

Upon arrest, Park was issued an I-871 Notice of Intent/Decision to Reinstate Prior Order of Removal, citing his previous deportation and illegal reentry as violations of the Immigration and Nationality Act. He is currently detained at the Stewart Detention Center in Lumpkin, Georgia, pending removal proceedings. Due to the severity of his criminal convictions and repeated immigration violations, Park is considered a high-priority case for enforcement and removal.
