On January 28, 2025, ICE El Paso, arrested Jackson Javier Irazabal-Rodriguez, a citizen of Venezuela. Irazabal-Rodriguez has been convicted of sexual assault of a child and sentenced him to 10 years’ probation.

In a similar case, on January 28, 2025, ICE’s Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) El Paso arrested 27-year-old Jackson Javier Irazabal-Rodriguez, a citizen of Venezuela, during a targeted enforcement action in El Paso, Texas. Irazabal-Rodriguez had been previously convicted of sexual assault of a child in Texas on May 13, 2024, and was sentenced to a term of 10 years’ probation. His conviction stemmed from an incident involving a minor victim under the age of consent, and the case was adjudicated in a local court. Following his sentencing, Irazabal-Rodriguez was released under an ICE order of supervision rather than being taken into immediate custody.

According to immigration records, Irazabal-Rodriguez had unlawfully entered the United States and did not have valid immigration status at the time of his arrest. He failed to pursue or qualify for any form of immigration relief following his conviction. ICE officers located and apprehended him without incident during an enforcement operation targeting noncitizens with serious criminal histories.

After his arrest, he was placed into ICE custody pending removal proceedings. There were no pending legal motions or protections on file to prevent his deportation. He remains detained as immigration authorities coordinate with relevant agencies.
