by G. George | June 03, 2025

Jeremie Joel Levi Ahouandjinou, a citizen of Gabon, was arrested by ICE San Antonio following a recent arrest for obstructing and resisting an officer. Ahouandjinou, who is unlawfully present in the United States, came to the attention of federal immigration authorities after local law enforcement encountered him during a criminal incident.

ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations officers reviewed his immigration history and confirmed that he had no lawful status in the U.S. Following standard enforcement protocols, he was taken into ICE custody and processed for removal under immigration law. His prior criminal conduct, combined with his lack of legal status, qualified him for enforcement action.

After being arrested by ICE, Ahouandjinou was transferred to a detention facility where he will remain while his case proceeds through immigration court. Officers issued him a notice to appear before an immigration judge. Ahouandjinou does not currently have any pending relief from removal.

This arrest is part of ICE’s ongoing operations to locate individuals who have violated both immigration law and public safety statutes. Officials noted that Ahouandjinou’s criminal record and unlawful presence made him subject to enforcement under federal guidelines.
