ICE Los Angeles, working with ERO San Salvador’s SAFE Task Force, removed Jesus Orlando Erazo Galvez to El Salvador on September 1. Erazo Galvez, a former priest, is wanted in El Salvador for the rape of a minor.
Erazo Galvez fled El Salvador after criminal charges were filed against him for sexually assaulting a minor while serving as a priest. He entered the United States illegally and remained in the Los Angeles area. Salvadoran law enforcement issued an international warrant for his arrest. ICE worked with ERO San Salvador’s SAFE Task Force to locate him through investigative leads and community tips.
The arrest occurred following surveillance operations in Los Angeles. Erazo Galvez was detained without incident and processed for removal. He was transported to El Salvador on September 1 under ICE escort. Upon arrival, he was transferred to Salvadoran authorities to face prosecution for rape of a minor. The SAFE Task Force coordinates with international partners on cross-border fugitive cases involving violent crimes.
