Jesus Vazquez Daniel/Mexico/Murder
On May 22, 2025, ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) Houston deported Jesus Vazquez Daniel, a 59-year-old Mexican national who had been unlawfully present in the United States. Vazquez was wanted in Mexico for a homicide committed over two decades ago and had been evading authorities since the incident occurred.
According to officials, Vazquez has been on the run since October 1, 2004, when he allegedly murdered a fellow Mexican national in Hidalgo, Mexico. Mexican law enforcement had issued a warrant for his arrest, and ICE later identified him as a fugitive from justice following a review of international law enforcement databases. He was located in Texas and detained by ICE officers prior to the removal.
Following his arrest, Vazquez was held at the Montgomery Processing Center in Conroe, Texas. Once all legal proceedings were completed, ICE arranged his transportation to the Juarez-Lincoln Bridge Port of Entry in Laredo, where he was formally removed from the United States. He was then transferred to the custody of Mexican authorities for prosecution in connection with the 2004 homicide.
ICE confirmed that no legal barriers or pending appeals remained at the time of his deportation, allowing for his return to face justice in Mexico.
