Joel Cuautle-Ocelotl, a criminal illegal alien from Mexico, was arrested in Minneapolis on Jan. 7.

Cuautle-Ocelotl has a record that includes multiple offenses involving violence, defiance of law enforcement, and immigration violations. He was convicted of assault, indicating he intentionally caused or attempted to cause physical injury to another person. Cuautle-Ocelotl was also convicted of resisting an officer, reflecting his refusal to comply with lawful commands or physical efforts by police during an encounter or arrest.

In addition to these offenses, he has a conviction for illegal re-entry, meaning he returned to the United States after previously being removed or deported, in violation of federal immigration law. His criminal history also lists driving under the influence of liquor, demonstrating dangerous conduct that put other motorists and pedestrians at risk. These convictions together document a pattern of unlawful behavior across both criminal and immigration statutes.

“In the face of violent attacks, ICE law enforcement arrested pedophiles, rapists, and drug traffickers in Minneapolis yesterday,” Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said in a news release. “Every single day our law enforcement officers put their lives on the line to arrest the worst of the worst criminal illegal aliens from American communities. We will not let rioters slow us down from making Minnesota safe again—something Governor Walz and Mayor Frey REFUSED to do.”
