Joel Valdez Quevedo, a criminal illegal alien from Mexico, was arrested in Rochester, Minnesota, on convictions for synthetic narcotic distribution, dangerous drugs, and illegal re-entry during a federal enforcement operation. Officials stated that his case was identified through a systematic review of noncitizens with outstanding criminal convictions and immigration violations in the Rochester area. Authorities noted that convictions involving drug trafficking combined with prior deportation demonstrate serious federal immigration crimes and elevated threats to public health and safety.

“Cases involving synthetic narcotic distribution with illegal re-entry after deportation receive the highest priority in enforcement and removal operations,” a spokesman said.
