Jorge De Leon-Gabriel/Mexico/Assault on a Female

Jorge De Leon-Gabriel, a 47-year-old citizen of Mexico and illegal alien present in the United States, was arrested by officers with ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) Atlanta. De Leon-Gabriel was taken into custody in North Carolina on July 2025 following an investigation into his criminal background and immigration status.

According to law enforcement records, De Leon-Gabriel currently faces pending criminal charges in Wake County, North Carolina, for assault on a female. The nature of the offense led to further scrutiny of his immigration status. ICE officers determined that De Leon-Gabriel had no legal authorization to be in the United States.

Following his arrest, De Leon-Gabriel was issued a notice to appear before an immigration judge and remains in ICE custody pending the outcome of his removal proceedings. No bond has been granted. Officials confirmed that the arrest was carried out without incident.

ICE officers in the Atlanta area continue to identify and detain individuals who are in violation of U.S. immigration law and have criminal records involving violence or other public safety concerns. De Leon-Gabriel’s case is now awaiting adjudication by the immigration court system.
