Jorge Hernandez/Mexico/Sexual Assault
On February 10, 2025, ICE Houston arrested Jorge Hernandez, a citizen of Mexico.
Hernandez has been convicted of sexual assault and sentenced to 5 years in prison.
Shortly before this, on February 4, 2025, U.S. Border Patrol agents arrested Hector Olvera-Espinosa, a 44-year-old Mexican national, during a routine vehicle stop on Interstate 35 in Laredo, Texas. During the stop, agents discovered Olvera-Espinosa’s extensive criminal history, including prior convictions for sodomy of a child, rape of a child, and possession of a deadly weapon with intent to assault. These offenses are considered severe, and his continued presence in the U.S. posed a direct threat to public safety. After being arrested, Olvera-Espinosa was taken into custody by U.S. Border Patrol, and ICE’s Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) agents have begun the process of his immigration enforcement proceedings.
