Juan Ramon Acosta Meza/Nicaragua/Assault, Resisting an Officer

Juan Ramon Acosta Meza, a 39-year-old citizen of Nicaragua, was arrested by Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) New Orleans. Acosta Meza is illegally present in the United States and has a criminal record that includes multiple offenses. Among the most notable are a charge of assault and an arrest for resisting an officer. These violations contributed to his identification as a priority for immigration enforcement.

Acosta Meza’s assault charge stems from a physical altercation during which he reportedly engaged in violent behavior toward another individual. In a separate incident, he was arrested for resisting law enforcement officers during a lawful encounter, adding to concerns about his disregard for U.S. laws and public safety.
