Juana Garcia/Guatemala/Felony Drug Trafficking

by G. George | June 18, 2025

Juana Garcia, a citizen of Guatemala, was arrested by ERO New Orleans following a significant criminal history centered around drug trafficking and immigration fraud. Garcia, who is illegally present in the United States, has been convicted on four separate counts of felony drug trafficking. Her criminal record also includes charges for possession of cocaine, conspiracy to distribute cocaine, and selling cocaine—each reflecting active and repeated involvement in the illegal narcotics trade.

In addition to her drug-related crimes, Garcia has been charged with falsely claiming U.S. citizenship, a serious federal offense under immigration law. This charge reflects an attempt to unlawfully gain benefits or legal status by misrepresenting her identity. Her repeated participation in felony drug operations, combined with efforts to conceal her immigration status, demonstrates a clear pattern of disregard for both public safety and the law.

Garcia’s arrest followed a targeted enforcement action by ICE officials based in the New Orleans Field Office. Due to the severity of her crimes and her ongoing illegal presence in the country, she was taken into ICE custody pending removal proceedings. ICE officers continue to pursue individuals who have repeatedly violated U.S. laws, particularly those involved in serious drug trafficking networks that threaten community safety.
