Junior Alvarez Vera
Junior Alvarez Vera/Cuba/Aggravated Drug Trafficking, Cocaine Distribution, Gang Participation
Federal immigration authorities have arrested Junior Alvarez Vera, a criminal illegal alien from Cuba and an active member of the Paisas gang, following his conviction on a dangerous drug offense classified as an aggravated felony. Officials said Alvarez Vera’s criminal history includes an aggravated dangerous drug charge and a separate conviction for selling cocaine, both tied to narcotics activity associated with his gang involvement.
According to enforcement records, investigators identified Alvarez Vera as a priority target because of his violent gang ties and repeated narcotics trafficking in the community. A DHS spokesman stated that officers apprehended him without incident and that his Paisas affiliation, combined with his felony drug convictions, placed him among the most dangerous offenders pursued in the recent operation.
Alvarez Vera is currently in federal custody while authorities pursue immigration proceedings that could result in his removal from the United States.
