Kelvin Civil/Haiti/Inducing a Minor for Sex, Assault on Police Officer
Kelvin Civil, a 21-year-old illegal alien from Haiti, was arrested by ICE Boston on July 16 following his release from local custody in Massachusetts. Civil has a troubling history of violent and predatory behavior. His criminal convictions include inducing a minor for sex, assault and battery on a police officer, and resisting arrest.
The most serious of his convictions involved luring a minor into sexual activity, a felony-level offense that reflects a clear threat to public safety. Civil was also convicted of assaulting a law enforcement officer during a prior encounter, showing a pattern of hostility toward authority. Additionally, he was convicted of resisting arrest, further demonstrating his refusal to comply with legal processes.
Civil is currently being held in ICE custody pending removal proceedings. Officers with ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) confirmed that he is unlawfully present in the United States and took him into custody shortly after his release by local authorities. A notice to appear before an immigration judge has been issued.
ICE Boston has placed Civil in detention and he will remain in federal custody until his removal proceedings conclude. His criminal record and immigration status make him a strong candidate for deportation.
