Leyber Gomez-Heredia/Mexico/Felony Breaking and Entering, Larceny

On Jan. 10, ICE ERO Boston officers arrested Leyber Gomez-Heredia, a criminal alien from Mexico, in connection with a series of property crimes in the region. Officials report that his criminal charges include larceny and felony breaking and entering in the nighttime, offenses that typically involve unlawfully entering homes or businesses to steal valuables under cover of darkness.​

Gomez-Heredia is also charged with felony breaking and entering into a motor vehicle, a crime tied to thefts from parked cars targeted for cash, electronics and other personal items. A law enforcement spokesman said Gomez-Heredia has been placed in immigration custody pending removal proceedings, adding that officers intend to ensure he is returned to Mexico once his case is resolved.​
