Leyvi Zuniga/Honduras/Active MS-13 Gang Member

ICE New Orleans deported Leyvi Zuniga, a citizen of Honduras and an illegal alien in the United States, due to his confirmed active membership in the MS-13 gang, a designated foreign terrorist organization.

Honduran law enforcement had issued warrants for his arrest related to his involvement in gang activities that include homicide, extortion, drug trafficking, and violent intimidation of civilians. His removal was carried out following immigration enforcement actions that prioritized his documented affiliation with this transnational criminal organization, which operates extensively in both Central America and the U.S.

Zuniga’s deportation included coordination to ensure his direct transfer to Honduran authorities, where he is expected to face prosecution under anti-gang and organized crime statutes. His established criminal connections, history of illicit activity, and ongoing role within MS-13’s violent network made his continued presence in the U.S. a significant concern.

With his return to Honduras, local law enforcement will pursue legal proceedings aimed at dismantling his criminal influence and addressing the crimes committed under the gang’s direction.
