ERO Denver arrested Luis Antonio Reyes-Meneses, a 38-year-old citizen of Nicaragua and an illegal alien present in the United States. Reyes-Meneses was taken into ICE custody following a series of criminal offenses that have raised serious concerns about his presence in the country. He has a prior conviction for Driving Under the Influence (DUI), which placed others at risk due to his impaired operation of a vehicle. In addition to this conviction, he now faces pending charges for violating a protection order and child abuse causing reckless bodily injury—both stemming from an incident reported in Loveland, Colorado.

The child abuse charge involves allegations of reckless conduct that resulted in harm or the risk of harm to a minor. The violation of a protection order further indicates a failure to comply with court mandates, often issued in cases involving domestic violence or harassment. These accusations reflect a pattern of behavior that poses a threat to individuals in the community, particularly vulnerable parties such as children and victims seeking legal protection.

Following his arrest, ICE placed Reyes-Meneses into custody where he will remain throughout the course of his immigration proceedings. His prior DUI conviction, coupled with the pending criminal charges, will be key factors as immigration officials and the courts determine the outcome of his case. He is currently awaiting a hearing to determine his removability and potential deportation.
