Luis Felipe Duran-Hernandez/Honduras/Rape of Minor
On January 29, 2025, ICE Washington, DC criminally arrested Luis Felipe Duran-Hernandez, a national of Honduras illegally present in the United States.
Duran-Hernandez, for illegal re-entry. Duran-Hernandez is an aggravated felon with convictions for the rape of a minor under 13, and felon in possession of a firearm. Duran-Hernandez, who has been previously deported four times, is in USMS custody with a detainer lodged.
Similar to Duran-Hernandez, on February 25, 2025, ICE’s Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) Washington, D.C., arrested 34-year-old Honduran national Mario Antonio Mejia-Calderon in the Washington metropolitan area. Mejia-Calderon had previously been deported from the United States and unlawfully reentered at an unknown time and location.
At the time of his arrest, he was charged with possession of a counterfeit permanent resident card and illegal reentry by a previously deported alien. ICE officers apprehended Mejia-Calderon without incident during a targeted enforcement action. He was issued a notice to appear before a Department of Justice immigration judge for violating U.S. immigration laws.
Mejia-Calderon remains in ICE custody pending the outcome of his removal proceedings.
