ICE St. Paul arrested Manual Bacilio-Manuel, a citizen of Guatemala and an illegal alien in the United States. Bacilio-Manuel was taken into custody during a targeted enforcement action in Minnesota after officers confirmed his unlawful presence in the country. Records show that he had entered the U.S. without inspection and had not obtained any legal status to remain.

Bacilio-Manuel has a criminal conviction for Driving Under the Influence (DUI), a charge that raises serious safety concerns due to the risk it poses to the public. His DUI conviction was filed in a local jurisdiction and resulted in penalties consistent with state law. ICE officers identified Bacilio-Manuel as a priority due to his unlawful status combined with his criminal history.

Following his arrest, Bacilio-Manuel was processed and transported to an ICE detention facility where he will remain in custody pending immigration proceedings. He does not have any lawful immigration relief on file and is expected to be removed from the United States in accordance with the applicable removal statutes. ICE continues to prioritize the arrest of individuals whose criminal conduct threatens public safety or involves violations of U.S. immigration laws.
