Manuel Antonio Perez
Manuel Antonio Perez/Honduras/Endangering Welfare of Children
ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) New Orleans deported Manuel Antonio Perez, a 39-year-old citizen of Honduras, following his conviction for a serious offense involving the safety of minors. Perez was convicted in the United States for endangering the welfare of children and was sentenced to 23 months in jail. The nature of the offense posed a significant concern for public safety and triggered federal immigration enforcement review upon his release.
Perez had been living in the country illegally and was taken into ICE custody after serving his sentence. Officials confirmed that he had no lawful status in the U.S. and had no pending immigration relief options. Once ICE received confirmation of his final order of removal, officers coordinated with Honduran authorities to ensure his deportation.
On August 5, 2025, Perez was formally removed from the U.S. via flight to Honduras. Upon arrival in Tegucigalpa, he was turned over to Honduran authorities. ICE officials carried out the deportation without incident, ensuring compliance with the immigration judge’s order and concluding Perez’s presence in the United States. He is no longer eligible to remain or return to the U.S. under current immigration law.
