Marilyn Marin/El Salvador/Domestic Assault

by G. George | June 08, 2025

Marilyn Marin, 34, a citizen of El Salvador, was arrested by ICE New Orleans officers following a review of her criminal record and immigration status. Marin, unlawfully present in the United States, has accumulated multiple arrests and convictions across several jurisdictions, reflecting a pattern of repeated criminal behavior and disregard for legal authority.

Her record includes two separate arrests for domestic assault, involving violence against individuals in her household. In a more serious incident, Marin was arrested for assaulting a first responder during an emergency call, which resulted in formal charges due to the severity of the offense and the status of the victim. This conduct elevated her profile as a threat to public safety.

Marin was also arrested for unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia during a separate encounter with law enforcement. Additionally, she has violated the terms of her probation, which had been issued in connection with prior convictions. This violation triggered further legal consequences and contributed to her immigration arrest.

After her apprehension by ICE, Marin was placed in detention pending immigration proceedings. She has no lawful immigration status or pending relief claims that would prevent her removal. Officers confirmed that Marin had previously entered the U.S. without authorization and was not eligible to remain under current immigration law.
