Officers with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in Baltimore arrested Mario Duardo-Soler, a criminal illegal alien from Cuba, on December 22. Duardo-Soler was apprehended following an investigation into his presence in the area despite a significant history of serious offenses. His criminal record includes convictions for rape, sex abuse of a minor, assault, and possession with intent to distribute cocaine.

Authorities confirmed that Duardo-Soler is currently subject to a final order of removal issued by a federal immigration judge. Consequently, he will remain in ICE custody without the possibility of bond until his deportation is carried out.

An ICE spokesman stated that the operation successfully secured an offender with a background involving both sexual violence against minors and drug trafficking. Duardo-Soler is currently detained while the agency coordinates the necessary steps to effect his return to Cuba in compliance with the removal order.
