Miguel Colin-Yanez/Mexico/Larceny

by G. George | June 06, 2025

Miguel Colin-Yanez, a 30-year-old citizen of Mexico, was arrested by ICE officers assigned to the Salt Lake City field office during targeted enforcement operations in South Jordan, Utah. Colin-Yanez is a documented member of the Latin Kings street gang and has a criminal history that includes convictions for larceny and possession of stolen property.

ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations officers took Colin-Yanez into custody without incident following a review of his criminal record and gang affiliation. His previous offenses involved the theft of personal property and knowingly possessing items obtained through illegal means. These convictions, along with his gang ties, elevated him to a priority for enforcement action under ICE guidelines.

Following his arrest, Colin-Yanez was issued a stipulated final order of removal, a legal agreement in which the individual waives the right to further immigration proceedings and consents to immediate removal. This process expedites deportation and eliminates the need for a court hearing.

Colin-Yanez will remain in ICE custody while final arrangements for his repatriation are completed. He is scheduled to be returned to Mexico in coordination with the Government of Mexico.
